Coors Field is an open roof stadium in the heart of Denver downtown. Depending on the month, weather can get very hot but overall Denver is pretty mild. Focus on sitting toward the upper section 300 areas if you want to avoid the sun. The best views of the city are from the 1st base line, and because the field faces North this is the best area to sit in the daytime. You can bring water and snacks into the stadium, so purchase it from the vendors who sit outside the entrance to save some dough!
Since Coors Field is downtown, ParkWhiz should be your preferred option for parking. I would recommend booking parking at the Alpha Park @ 1875 Lawrence St., Denver, CO 80202. Although the number of spaces was a bit limited, parking was under $10, was covered, and was only about a 15 minute walk to the stadium - so book early! An alternative on Sunday only that I saw a lot of people taking advantage of was the street parking meters on 19th St, between Lawrence St and Market St, which is free on Sundays. Any other day I wouldn’t recommend this because of the 2 hour limit.
Gates A and E open 2 hours before first pitch. All other gates open 90 minutes before first pitch. The Home Plate Gate D Entrance has 12 gates, and the left-most and right-most gates are for no bags.
