The St. Louis Cardinals @ Busch Stadium

I’m human. There’s going to be a case when that happens. But right now, I’m faster to get it. You play more games, you get more maturity, and you get smarter.

Seating

Busch Stadium is an open roof stadium in the heart of St. Louis downtown, near the Mississippi river and the Gateway Arch. Sitting on the 3rd base line will give you great views of the Arch and some downtown buildings as the stadium faces East. I recommend sitting behind home or along the 3rd base side for afternoon and night games, just because this stadium faces in the East direction and there is better sun coverage from the 3rd base side stadium roofs.

Parking

The stadium is located downtown, so be prepared for a lot of walking traffic along the streets. There is no need to go with ParkWhiz since parking at private lots or even stadium lots around Busch Stadium is relatively inexpensive and right next to the stadium.

  • $10 cash parking is available on both sides of S. 7th St, south of Historic U.S. 66 highway. Park here for a 10-15 minute outdoor walk to the stadium.

  • $20 cash parking is available in the lot next to the home plate entrance in the “Starr Lot” or “Starr Parking Lot”. Alternatively you supposedly can reserve parking in advance in this lot when I googled online, but in the end I did not use this option because we had no car.

  • The MetroLink above ground subway system has a Stadium stop which is right outside the stadium Gate 3 - Third Base entrance.

Entrances

  • Gate 2 - Home Plate Entrance is for visitors coming from South of the stadium. It probably has the least bobblehead inventory just because it is the most popular entrance next to parking. This gate has 9 security entrances, with the very left entrance devoted to an express lane for people without bags.

  • Gate 5 - Left Field Entrance is off of Clark Ave and across from Ballpark Village, which is a great place to enjoy some food and drink before the game. There are 8 security entrances, and in my opinion has the most availability of bobblehead inventory of all the gates.

  • Gate 6 - Right Field Entrance has average availability and medium wait times.
